Security issues related to cloud computing: Secure cloud consists of 2 areas: security issues of cloud providers (organizations providing software, platform or infrastructure) problems encountered and customer privacy encountered. The cloud provider must ensure that the infrastructure they provide is safe in the sense that the data and applications are protected customer. Meanwhile, the customer must ensure that the vendor has adopted appropriate security measures to protect their information. The expanded application virtualization techniques can build the infrastructure of cloud computing, which is raising the security issues specific to the customer (object using cloud services). Virtualization techniques can also change the link between operating systems and hardware architectures as computational, storage and network systems. This thing creates a new class of the virtualization need to be configured, managed and secure. The issue of concern is the virtualization software (also called hypervisor). For example, when a security problem occurs in the administrator workstation management software virtualization software will be able to crash the whole system.
Virtualization security in the cloud: Organizations can now use virtualization to reduce the cost of investment in infrastructure, as well as increase operational efficiency. However, virtualization also brings security concerns such as the operating system – running as a client, the security of the virtualization layer (hypervisor), the attacks insiders VMs and the “blind spot”, to control traditional security. Virtualization is one of the key pillars of the proposed cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and private clouds. It is also increasingly being used in many parts of auxiliary (back-end) of the vendor platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS). It is also used in virtual desktops, the service is provided for the public or private cloud.
The benefits of virtualization are clear, including the many services offered, server utilities better, strengthening the capacity of the data center. Cloud providers can achieve higher information density, which means better storage capacity, and businesses can use virtualization to reduce the cost of investment in infrastructure as well as increase operational efficiency. However, virtualization also brings many concerns such as security of the operating system running as a client, the security of the virtualization layer, as well as new threats specific to virtualization, the attacks insiders of the VM (virtual machine) and blind spots; enforcement concerns arising from the CPU and memory are used for security and operational complexity from “the crawling of VMs” as a challenge to security. New issues as immediate openings (instant- on gaps), the mixed data (data commingling), difficulty in coding the virtual machine images, data destruction remainder is the question started being interested. In fact there are many forms of virtualization, but this article focuses on analyzing virtualization operating system.
